The Mid-Period 1st model Luftwaffe to find in a decent condition is nearly impossible. Early nickel one yes, late aluminum examples yes, but try to find one of these silver plated examples. I know that this is only half of the dagger, but if you need this to match the condition of your scabbard, don't wait as I'll probably never have another one like this. This baby is un-marked and extremely nice in every aspect. The Mid-Period Luftwaffe were so prone to flaking and bubbling that nearly every one that I see is always short on condition. Beautiful plating, gorgeous leather grip, near perfect pommel / crossguard, and a very nice blade.
