Japanese Meiji Era Police Short Sword/dagger. Possible 14th to 16th century blade. Black Sami Grip. Right out of the books. I had an expert look at this who gave me the information by looking at the blade. I will have to strip the nut to disassemble this. This was not unusual to take an older blade and make a different short sword. Overall length of dagger/ short sword is 24 inches
