Third Reich Hunting Hirschfanger. Paul Dinger blade. Tang is properly marked with the P+D. This is a non Damascus blade. The tang is numbered 35, partially struck over the D. The crossguard, and langet are also marked 35. All of the -silvered (I suspect plated) hilt fittings, including the fluted clamshell, are in perfect condition with dark age patina. Some lacquer remains in the recesses. Stag grip is perfect with no chips or cracks. The Third Reich Hunting Association emblem is properly pinned to the obverse grip. Double-etched, plated, blade grades excellent++ w/hunting scenes of boars, hunting dogs and stags. Upper blade ridge is etched also, see photos.. Scabbard is made of pebbled leather over a wood, (or no) shell. Scabbard fittings are silver plated also with some of the silver worn through.. Scabbard grades excellent++ with traces of the original green dye on the reverse. There are a few minor surface scratches.
